Good afternoon All,
I am posting on behalf of one of my friends.
Her PR is in process. She has a nomination from PNP and got a support letter to apply for a new work permit. She was on a working holiday but her permit expired a little while ago - after she applied for the new work permit with the support letter.
She has been on implied status for some time now and today, she received an update that her work permit application was refused and her status is expiring today. The reason stated in the letter is that she did not provide her support letter with her application, but that is incorrect. It was provided.
We immediately opened a case specific inquiry to signal the error and are hoping they will reopen her case.
At this point however, we also want to apply for a restoration of status and I am wondering the following:
- Would she still be allowed to work while the restoration is in process
- How long does it typically take
- Should she flagpole and reenter as a visitor while she waits for a decision
I appreciate anyone's input and I hope the situation is resolved soon.
Thank you very much!
