PR IN PROCESS RECEIVED ADMISSION IN UNI

Hello,
My PR is in process. I submitted all my docs in December 2018. Ive also been accepted at a university in Montreal. I have a couple of questions and was wondering if someone can help me.
1)Do I need to intimate the authorities that I have an admission offer?
2)Should I just apply for a student visa as well, just to be safe? And will that be okay?

Depending on how you applied for EE and what the timeline is you will need a study permit and CSQ to attend school before you get PR. This also creates a problem because the entrance requirements are often different for international students and domestic students. The department is also counting on your international tuition. Depending on your timeline you should be speaking with your university and advising them that you are applying for PR and may not be an international student. Make much more sense to wait until you get PR to attend school for financial reasons.
