Hi. I have a simple question. I'm a dentist applying for PR through express entry which may take a few months to complete. I'm also appearing for masters exams in india. If i get through in any exam and offered a seat in masters which would be a 3 year course and along with it i get my PR also then do i have to go to canada? Do i have to choose one out of two or i may b allowed to complete my masters and then persue my career there?

Do you have an invitation to apply or you just entered the EE pool?

If PR is granted you’ll receive documents in order to go to Canada and activate your PR status. This procedure is commonly know as “landing” in Canada. You’ll have a time limit to “land” in Canada, usually one year.

For the next 5 years after the date you “landed” you have to live in Canada for at least 2 years, no exceptions.
