PR for spouse and kids

Hello All,

I am a new immigrant to canada on PR and still looking for jobs here. I need some clarity on sponsoring my wife and kids.

1) Do i have to have a job here in Canada to sponsor my wife and children ?
2) Do i have to stay here in Canada for the entire duration of thier application?

An expert guidance would be very helpful.

1) No.
2) Yes. You can take occasional short trips (i.e. 2-3 weeks) outside of Canada. But you need to remain here otherwise or your application is at risk for being refused.
