Hi I am planning to immigrate to Canada with my spouse and child. However I want to understand if acquiring PR for Parents (both 60 plus) is a possibility?

Yes - it's possible - however not immediately.

Once you become a PR, you'll need to work in Canada for at least three years and make enough income to meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor your parents. Once you meet this requirement, you'll enter a lottery and hope you're selected (there are a limited number of applications accepted each year).

Yes it's possible. But since it takes at least 3 years of having qualifying income, being selected in a lottery with odds getting worse each year, not knowing if future governments will change the program, and if any medical conditions arise for parents... in deciding to pursue PR in Canada you should prepare for possible scenario you will never be able to sponsor your parents.
