Hi,

I have received my ITA on April 20, 2016. Now, I plan to move Canada alone first and later call my wife and kid there. My wife and kid are shown as non-accompanying family members in my CIC profile. I want to know how difficult will it be to apply PR for my wife and kid once I reach Canada? If I choose to include my wife and kid as accompanying members right away, my CRS score dips down by 30 points and puts me out of current EE cutoff of around 470 points.

Any suggestions, how do I make sure that my family also get PR now or any time soon?

If you don't include them on your application then you will need to do a family sponsorship once you receive PR. From what I've heard, this can be a very lengthy process. However, if including them drops your CRS below the ITA threshold then sponsorship maybe your only option.

Your wife has to independently apply for PR on her own or has to wait for you to sponsor her as an outland applicant AFTER you become a landed PR. Check approximate timelines here.

If you list your spouse and child as 'accompanying' now, your score will be recalculated and you will lose the ITA if the recalculated score falls below the cutoff of the 20th April draw. The quickest way of getting your spouse and child PR is by including them in your PR application - that would involve listing them as 'accompanying', declining this ITA and waiting for another ITA with your revised score.
