Greetings to all.

Given that this is such a vast forum, I was hoping if someone can help me answer my following question.

My immigration application was accepted (under CEC) and it is now under process. I am also planning to apply for a work permit. My question is, because my PR application was accepted and is now under process, will that help me in any way in LMIA or work permit processing?

Thank you,

P.

I'm afraid it wont help at all. The LMIA is a totally different entity and is largely defendant on what type of job you are looking for and where you want to work (live). If the job sector has a skills shortage and your boss is struggling to find a Canadian to fill the position, after advertising the role for months, then you are in with a chance.

But remember, your boss applies for the LMIA and you have little to no input.

Also you are looking at a 4-6 month process
