Hi,

I got Candian PR in 2009 and stay there for 2 months. Then re-entered in 2012 and stayed for 1 month and left, my PR expired in 2015.

Now i want to visit canada to meet my brother in August and i am british citizen so

a. Should i show my British passport WHEN i will land in Canada? and i do need to mention about my PR card which is expired?
b. Can they revoke my PR card and what are the risks involved?

Thanks,
PK2000

What info you volunteer to CBSA is up to you. Know though that they can determine your PR status if they check a bit further based just on your passport, so it's usually better to be upfront with them about everything instead of them finding out later and thinking you tried to deceive them.

Yes, if they determine you're a PR and do not meet RO, they can start process to revoke your PR status. You can accept this, or appeal it if you have any legitimate H&C reasons (appeal process can take a few years). Either way though you will still be allowed into Canada for your trip.

If you have no intention to remain in Canada your best option is probably just to let it be revoked, or even renounce your PR voluntarily. Remember that after Sept 29 you will no longer be able to fly to Canada using just your passport if you're a PR, so keeping your PR status and not meeting RO will soon be much more difficult if you want to visit Canada occasionally.

I entered 2 times in Canada on Pakistani passport but now i have got British so how they can check bit further based on my passport?

I want to move back to Canada in couple of years but my wife/kids has not got PR so if i renounce my PR voluntarily then can i re-apply immigration again for myself including my family?
Or once you renounce then you can't apply it again?

I'm sure CBSA has ways of finding out based on your biometric data common to all passports.

It's no problem to renounce PR status or have it revoked. As long as you qualify under an open immigration stream at the time, you can apply again in the future and include your family in that application.

The key info is the name and DOB. If it is the same/similar on both passports, then the system can easily pull up matches and then it would be up to the officer to decide to investigate further. There are other ways also but that is the quickest for the system
