Hi,

I received my PR document in December last year and came to Canada in early January. My wife and I were debating the move to Canada, and she filed for divorce two days before I landed in Canada.

However, I only found out that she had applied for one-sided divorce after a few days of arriving in Canada when the divorce notice was served at my place of residence in India.

She has now been threatening me that she will get my PR cancelled by reporting the divorce filing date in Canada as it changed my marital status before I landed.

Please help, this pandemic has been crazy enough to figure out and now it seems my PR status is in question.

Thanks

I think, If Divorce is Granted already before your landing, you should have informed IRCC during your landing
In your scenario, your wife just applied/filed and Divorce is not granted in court, so it shouldnot be a problem

I tried doing some research, but I couldn't find anything on this.

I didn't know that she had filed for divorce when I landed. I only got to know once the court notice was delivered at my residence in Amritsar, India.

My PR card arrived a few days ago, and I'm not sure if it can be revoked now.

Your pr wont be revoked.
