PR confirmation portal: PLEASE HELP

Hi guys,

So the PR confirmation portal email was sent to my lawyer that represented me for my extension of Work permit in Canada while waiting for our inland sponsorship application to be approved. Only issue is that he is not my representative for the sponsorship application but he kindly forwarded the email anyway but by writing things like “please remove me from your application, I was added without consent, etc”

So since the letter of confirmation of PR portal says that I need to click on reply to reply to the email in order to give the information requested, I have modified the subject line from “Fwd” to “Re” and have explained briefly that the representative they sent the email to, is not my representative for my sponsorship application but for the extension of the work permit, and then I gave the information they requested,

context: this is an inland sponsorship application, and my wife is the sponsor and i am the only applicant


Do you think that is fine?

Hi,

I think it should be fine. The officer working on your file might have been confused if you applied for an open work permit (extension or restoration) with your spousal sponsorship inland application.

You could also just remove the objectionable words from the fwd email & indent/format the email a certain way.
You DO need to notify IRCC if they think you have a representative on your file though. If you mentioned so in your email, you’re good to go!

Thanks for the reply my friend. What ended up happening is that he sent them a reply saying that he wasn t my rep for the sponsorship and gave them my information out of courtesy, AND I sent them a separate email (I clicked on reply in the email he forwarded to me, so you can clearly see that he forwarded the email to ME) , giving them my info and everything they ask for without speaking about the confusion since he already spoke about it in a separate email.

anyway, let s hope for the best
