Hello all. I did my first landing on 3rd Feb 2018. I tried checking the PR card status online and it says "we are not able to identify the information you shared".

Does this mean the PR process has not even started? The application processing time shows 58 days for receiving new PR card.

I am asking because, I have left Canada and i am might be getting a job soon. So in the event my PR card is not ready by then, then can i apply for PRTD? Does the border service have a problem if I have left Canada without PR card.

There is no PR card check if you leave Canada.

PR card/PRTD are only for entering Canada.

It doesn't work some times (Or for some people, it doesn't work for me but received PR card in around 50 days).
I am asking because, I have left Canada and i am might be getting a job soon. So in the event my PR card is not ready by then, then can i apply for PRTD? you can apply for PRTD.

Hello All,

I landed in Toronto, September 12th with my COPR (confirmation of permanent residence form). I still have not got my PR Card. I sent many emails to IRCC/CPC, and they replied that new photos may be required and that a letter will be sent with details. But I have not got any letter so far. Its already 15 weeks now, and I had to leave Canada for an emergency personal work in the U.S.
Can someone please advise why its taking so long for PR Card ? and who else has faced this issue ?
