Returned to Canada after living overseas for 13 years. I have PR status and was sponsored via family class in 200. I qualify to meet residency obligations due to traveling with my citizen wife for the last five years. Originally landed in 2001 and original PR card expired and lapsed in 2008. Sent application by Express Post and tracking says it was received almost six weeks ago. Application has over 30 pages of backup documentation but has not been acknowledged.
Application can't be found on the website and was told by the 800 number that there is nothing they can do. Is two months or more normal to even acknowlkedge receipt due to Covid excuse? Getting concerned. What is one supposed to do if they never even log it in? By the time they get it, my information will be stale dated by months. Do I send another one? Anyone in a similar situation or have any advice or suggestions? Thanks to all.
