PR card Renewal

Can I apply for PR card renewal without meeting 2 years residency obligations? I need to stay outside Canada for professional reasons. I have been staying in Canada for 18 months in last the 5 years.

Is it 18months recently or in 5 years on and off you stayed for 18 months.if you stayed here back 18 months like you are staying here since may 2014 stay for another 6 months and apply.

Is it a canadian company that you are working ? .If so you may claim tobe living in canada.If you apply with out RO it would be of more headache in future

I did not work any Canadian Company. Should I wait until completion of 2 years? If I want to apply for Job, how can I prove my residency status?

Don't attempt to renew your PR card until you have resided in Canada for at least 730 days within the previous 1825 days, on the date that CIC receive your renewal application. If you do, you risk losing your PR status.

Dont apply for PR renewal until you meet RO. for applying job you need sin and driving license is enough .still you need another document you may use passport Dont think you need to show PR card for employment purposes.

You do not lose your permanent resident status if your PR card expires. This is from cic website.Dont worry Dont move out of canada for any reason for next duration and dont attract immigration
