I have some questions in regards of the pr card renewal. We are a family of 6, and this is our second renewal. The last renewal was 5 years ago, apparently, and pretty much straight forward. Two applications have been sent to Sydney, NS, in Sept 2015 already, and according to the online check they haven't even been touched (nothing popped up). The other 4 will be mailed out at the end of this month.
1. What is the reason for the processing times to constantly going up? (191 days as of today, that's ridiculous)
2. The specifications for the photographs state that the pictures are not supposed to be older than 6 months. With the processing times constantly going up, what does that mean in regards of the pictures? (Our pix are already 3 months old)
3. We are "planning" to maybe travel to Europe or the US during summer vacation. But taking the current processing times into account, this seems to be no option for us anymore? Is there a chance to speed up the process when there is no travel itinerary yet? (I don't want to book a flight or campground or anything not knowing if we will be able to cross the border...)
