PR CARD RENEWAL NOV. 2013

Hey guys,

I sent my PR CARD Renewal application to CIC by Canada post on Nov 8th and they received and signed it on Nov 12, 2013

But I haven't been able to check my status online with my client number or receipt number.
(On my payment receipt, I didn't fill in my client ID. I thought it was left for CIC officer. Was it okay? )

Should I call them now or wait until it's passed 123 days?

It does not matter, if you have not written your client ID on the receipt. I did the same mistake. But CIC could correctly identify my application with other information perhaps name and date of birth and I was able to find my online status after 18 days of sending the application. But they might have had it updated even earlier, it is me who was late in checking. In your case, yes, you need to call CIC immediately, keep the Postal reference number, date posted etc. ready when you call them.

I just called them today and the agent told me that neither of our cases is in the system yet!!! She told me to wait for two weeks or else i'll have to START A NEW APPLICATION!!? And also I gave them the deliver information from Canada post along with the officer's signature and initials, but they said it wont help them....

I have almost the same timeline with you. The received my application on Nov. 7, 2013 and started processing on Feb. 6, 2014. That's 3 months sitting in their mail room. And I was only able to get a ecas status last week, after I sent an URGENT request with my ticket to China in April.

This is very ridiculous!

Hi, edsiu. From Feb. 6 to Feb. 25, it should have been completed by now for expedited processing. I heard some normal processing cases are completed these days in 2 weeks from the date of starting to process to the date of decision made. Let us know when your case is approved. Thanks.
