Everyone who applied for PR card renewal in January or any time later post here so we know what happened to your application and how much time did it take to finish it.
Thank you

I sent my application 23-01-2017
I got the email 06-03-2017
That's after 43 days. That email states that they started working on it right? Not that they finished it

I sent my application on March the 2nd.

My hubby sent his in Sept 2016. But it went into SR in Nov 2016. Despite that, he got his PR card this week without ever having to present fresh documents. So, it does seem like the processing is much faster now than before. We initially thought that it might take up to a year. Hopefully, the lengthy wait times is a way of the past for PR renewal.

Do they send you an email when they receive your documents? I sent my documents and the courier says it reached them on march the second but yet they didn't email me anything about receiving my documents.
Thank you

Plus wasn't the processing time like 38 days in December why did it take all that time?

I don't know why it took that long.
I contacted CIC two weeks ago; the agent on the phone told me that i should receive my card by March 21st.
Also, I did inquire about the processing time being longer than what was indicated on their website; she responded that sometimes it takes longer, and added that nothing was unusual about my case to just wait for the card.
Before i contacted them i had started to worry about SR.

Hopefully, the processing time will be shorter for you guys!

Good luck!!

Yes, they sent me an email(AOR) on January 12th.
They received the application on Dec 21st, but only sent me the email on January 12th.

I would say to wait maybe another week or so .I was perusing the forum (Citizenship), some people whose documents were received early march haven't received AOR yet, but others have....

And according to my timeline it took 23 days before i received an AOR; i believe partly it was due to the holidays.

Good luck.

Thanks.

But do i need to put each application in different cover with the supporting documents and all together in one envelope?
