pr card renewal in process

My application is in process for pr card renewal under humanitarian grounds. They asked for few documents and i sent. How can i contact them whether they got my papers or not. How long it will take to process.two month passed unde process.

Pl clear if they renew my pr card will it start from the date they reissue or from the expiry date ? As it passed six months now.

1. Contacting CIC - http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGlish/contacts/index.asp

2. Start date is the actual renewal date not the prior expiry date.

Go through this forum and review threads that have H&C PR Card renewals...if in your opinion your reasons are weak (any lifestyle type reason e,g better job outside Canada) you may be better off withdrawing your application especially if you now have 730 days and can apply with these days and not need H&C grounds.
