I am married to a Canadian citizen and my two sons are Canadian citizens too. I got my Pr card in 2007, since then I stayed in Canada only 60 days, because my husband works outside Canada, so I have to be with my husband and children. Before the expiry date I traveled to Canada to renew my card for three weeks only, now that I am back with my family I find out that they did not renew my card because I did not have a Canadians photo I D. Now my Pr card has already expired and I am outside Canada, I don't know how I can get a new card or how i can travel to Canada again. Please help me.

If you want to travel to Canada to renew your card, if you are visa exempt, you just get on the plane and go. If you are not visa exempt, you apply for a PR travel document at a Canadian embassy. You can find the application here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp The processing time for a PR card is around 3 months right now but they have started to mail renewals in many cases now so if you have a secure address in Canada you can get it mailed to, you might be ok to leave again. It is however possible that they call you to the office for a pick up.
