Hello,

My express entry got approved and the pages are attached to my passport with expiry before when I have to make an entry to Canada. I have a few doubts regarding that.
1. What exactly should I do once I enter Canada before the expiry in my visa page in my passport?
2. Only after I enter Canada, can I start the process of applying for the PR card?
3. I have friends living in Canada, so can I give their postal address for shipping my PR card so that I can go home for a break and have them ship it to me, or do I have to stay for the entire duration to receive my card?
4. After I get my card do I have to send my passport again for them to attach the visa page for 5 years?

Appreciate your help.

Thank You

1. Whatever you like. You're a PR, you can live here forever. Generally speaking you should get your SIN number, and look up the process for getting a health card in the province you intend to live in.

2. The process begins automatically when you land. You just have to give CBSA your address.

3. You can give your friend's address and they can ship it to you. There is no need to stay for the entire duration. However, don't tell CBSA that you are leaving immediately because sometimes they refuse to process the card if you're only doing a short trip. If asked, you can certainly tell them that you are going to move to Canada ASAP, and may return to wrap up your affairs. That is acceptable.

4. No. You do not need visas anymore. You only need your PR card.
