We landed vancouver on Jan 1st week. We gave canadian address to immigration officer while landing. The address is of a friend living in canada.The immigration officer said we will get PR card in 4-6 weeks time.We came back to usa and now in usa. its been 7 weeks now, still have not received the PR card. How can we contact cic to check the status of PR card?We tried calling the number 1 888 242‑2100 , but it says it cannot be reached from my place. I bought a canadian calling card and tried to call that number, but still in vain.
a. Is there a way i can check the status of PR card from usa? is there any other number i can call from usa?
b. Is there an email to contact regarding the status?
If the PR card is sent by registered mail or something, and if the person is not available at the time at home, what happens?
I want to make sure they have the correct address and details.
