PR card - just wait or apply?

Hi, landed August 21st in Toronto. Immigration didn't take long, very rushed. I couldn't remember to ask the officer about PR card process. Do they just send it to the address provided in the forms on arrival, or do I have to make an application for it online? I need it before I travel on 20 November.

It will be sent to the address you provided to the officer during your landing. If you paid attention, you should’ve heard the officer say so.
