My husband applied to renew his PR card (expired May 2023) on April 11/23. It is now Septemeber 2023 and his application is still in process.
He did receive a removal order but we appealed and that order was stayed for a period of 5 years (until 2027). I understand that with this in place the application will take longer to process, but is it normal to take this long?
I checked normal processing times a few days ago and it was 83 days ... we are now nearly double that. We've emailed a few times but they always send back a generic "some applications are complex, rest assured your application is still in process", etc. stuff that we already know. Is there no other way to contact them to inquire about why it's taking so long?
