Hi
My pr card is about to expire in 1st August 2023. And I'm in India at the moment. Can I get PR TD from high commission of Canada in New Delhi? Can I return after 2 years back to Canada, in 2025? I've been residing in Toronto for 15 years ? I'm recieving OW benefits, do I continue to get them while away ? Is this PR TD process easy in India. I have probation and it will be breached and it looks like I won't be returning after 6 months back to Canada in June 1st, when I left in December 2022 due family issues. Than my question is what will precisely happen to my case if I want to return back to Canada in 2025? The PR card status is very very important for me. Thank you for your crucial time.

Yes, you can return in two years (in 2025). As long as you meet the residency obligation at the time you return (i.e. have lived in Canada for 2 out of the last five years), you won't have issues coming back. Yes, you can get a PRTD from outside of Canada.

Only short absences outside of Canada are allowed on OW (specifically 7 days). If you are outside of Ontario for more than 7 days, then you no longer qualify for OW and are required to notify the province / discuss with your caseworkers and stop the benefits.
