I am so sorry if I posted this question here. It's just that I can't find anything online that can answer me.

I am applying for a US VISIT VISA (B1/B2) in Calgary in July. My passport is still valid until March 2017. So I still have 8 months validity on my passport. I am aware of their 6 months rule about the passport. So mine is 8 months before expiry.
Do you think I would have a problem with it?

The original plan was to renew my passport first, but the Philippine Consulate in Calgary doesn't have the machines yet. so Darn! I am going to Calgary on the 13th. so I said, why not apply for a US visa since I will be in Calgary...

Now my only concern is that I might get denied since my passport is expiring. I am not concerned about the proof of my ties here in Canada as I have been here since 2009, have a stable job and my husband is a Canadian as well.

Is there somebody here who has similar experience?
