PR Application status due to future passport expiration

Hello Members,

CIC got my PR application on 27th July. My passport is expiring on 2nd April 2018. I am currently on PGWP till April, 2018.

1. Is there a possibility that my PR application will be rejected because my passport will be expired after next 6 months.

2. If I get PR, is its validity will be till 2nd April only.

Please advise.

Your help and input will be highly appreciated.
