Hi.. to every one I'm new to the forum. What is AOR? I applied for PR from protected person on November 2019. Got a email in December 12th, they received the application. There is my application number with "G". After that no update to date. Even I can't check my status online. Can any one explain why?

Aor is acknowledgement of receipt. It contains your application number. You have already got it now wait until next step in 3 to 4 months after aor. You can link your application online on cic website using your application number Or can use their online application status tool to check the updates on your application.

I got it within 3 months in my email. I think the only reason I got it faster was my email was linked in my paper file.

When did you apply? I did the same and nothing since December.

I did a GCMS request. I did not receive AOR yet. I can see my application number #, but it still doesn't work. I can see criminality is in progress as well, but haven't got AOR yet... it also says i still didn't pay the fees (I did, but maybe still early) but the application status does not say open or closed, it says prospective meaning they registered the application, but still didn't begin to process it and ask me for medicals/PCC,.

When did you apply? I did the same and nothing since December.

Applied in January 2019.

Used to take up to 6 months to receive AOR. Given covid assume there was highly reduced processing since mid-March. That is why people from December/January haven’t received AOR.

No, I came directly to Canada. Been here almost 5 years now.
