AEO still processing
Hi All

A little about my situation 1st, I have a job offer for BC and the company has applied for an AEO last year, because of the processing time we have also applied for an LMO just recently so I can move sooner. Where the LMO is for a temporary job offer and the AEO permanent job offer, has anyone had issues when applying for both?

My question is, has anyone here had experience in applying for both concurrently? If so what advice would you give?

Many thanks

Holly

Holly, there's no issue with applying for both an LMO and an AEO (in fact it could be construed favourably). You should be aware though that AEOs and LMOs don't have identical assessment criteria, so in theory you could get the AEO and not the LMO, or vice versa. Hope that helps.

Thank you amira for your information :) I am just a little worried about the fact we have applied for the LMO 6 months after the AEO and on the LMO application you have to supply an end date of the employment. I intend to gain my WP at POE so will also be asked to prove my ties with England. I am just a little worried about the whole process (much like everyone else I guess) and want to make sure we do everything right 1st time :) The company I am going to work for has not applied for and AEO or LMO before..

Again thank you for the information :D

Holly, did your employer think of mentioning on the LMO that he/she had already applied for an AEO and was seeking an LMO to get you on the job sooner? And did he/she put a check mark against the question "Is this job temporary with intent to hire permanently?" That would help with putting the stated end date of employment into context considering the two applications are being processed concurrently.

But even if they didn't, it shouldn't be a big deal. Good luck to you.
