Good Day

I am a South African citizen and I have had a long distance relationship with a born Canadian Citizen, for 3 years now.
In December he asked me to marry him.
We got married in South Africa

We were told that I can go back to Canada with him after the marriage once we receive our unabridged marriage certificate, and my passport is in order.

It was of great sadness and disappointed that this was not true.
I am now in the process to apply for my PR.

My husband is back in Canada as he is a business man, and I'm stuck in South Africa. We are so in love and we are losing seconds every day not to be together to share our lives with each other.

We are soul mates, and I cry myself to sleep every night.

Please is there no alternative way, that I can join my husband as soon as possible.

My life is very empty without him in it.
We spent almost 12 hours a day on messages and calls.

I'm looking forward to your reply.

Kind Regards

You're in the wrong section of the forum. You should be posting to the Family Sponsorship section of the forum.

Getting married to a Canadian does not entitle you to immediately move to Canada.

You can try apply for a TRV (tourist visa) to come to Canada. If the TRV is approved, you can come to Canada as a visitor and your husband can sponsor you for PR while you are in Canada.

If the TRV is refused, your husband will have to sponsor you for PR while you remain in your home country. It will likely take around a year for the application to be approved, Once it's approved, you'll be able to move to Canada.
