Hi,
I just got my PPR (yes!) and noticed that they request a passport valid for at least 6 months. I'm preparing the docs to send and now realize my wife's passport is just under that (expires July 17th, so 6 months and 25 days or so).
I'm thinking about sending it anyways. I would write a letter explaining that I'm aware of it but since we will be able to complete landing procedure before the passport expires, I will request them to issue the visa in the current passport with the same expiry date as the passport. Requesting a new passport would take long (more than 30 days).
Does anyone have any similar experiences ? Do you think this would be a problem ?
Appreciate any comments or suggestions.
Regards,
