PPR received. Confused now..

I had applied for my wife's immigration in early Jan. CPC M approved in Feb first week. We recd PPR on Feb 16 along with request for one document from New Delhi. After applying for immigration, my wife visited USA and is still there. I am now in doubt whether I should send her with passport to india or whether I can send passport through family friend who is leaving for India next week. [passport cannot be mailed internationally but in the Indian passport its written that it should be in possession of self or authorized person].
If I send the passport, I donot know if Delhi will call for interview and if I send her I dont know approximate timeline for booking her return [not to mention staying apart n cost of journey ]

Hi Sunny,

You had the correct thinking at this critical period. Sending passport by mail to/fro India is illegal and risky. But as you said, in case she is asked to appear in person for interview after submitting the passport, then there will be a real problem. Why to take all the risks. Better she go India and get the visa stamped. Also she can meet and greet her family members before leaving once again. good luck!!.
