When did you get your PCC and medicals done ? I think it has something to do with that.
My medical exam expired on September 5, I basically didn't receive any update until August 31 the day they sent me the letter requesting my passport. I thought they give you a couple of months before traveling

Ya i think its based on Medical expiration date, maybe that's why. Call CIC if they can extend the date or give a letter to do another medical exam so its valid for longer. This is not good, i know my spouse needs more than a month before travel is possible. ... so i am hoping they give us longer time to enter.

Hmm.. that's interesting so basically there is no pattern to it but at least they give you minimum of 4 to 6 months to land. Maybe they go by PCC ? When was your PCC done when was that valid till ?
the PCC was requested in July and received in October. I don't know how long it was valid for. Perhaps a year? I think I've seen that in other posts.

Hmm so october to april is 6 months and typically pcc is for 6 months, so it might be based on pcc i am thinking.

I didn't know I can do that... So in case they authorise to redo the medical exam, that means I might have to wait a year ? I need at lest 2 months to get ready to travel and give the resignation letter to my job.. Feeling the stress already.

So you have the same situation as me?
