PPR/in Canada/from visa exempt country

Hi everyone

I just need a clarification
we received our PPR yesterday we are in Canada already, and we come from
visa exempt country
Do we need to send photocopies or an actual passport?
Those are the final stages in our PR journey, and we don`t
wan`t to take any chances for any delay

If anyone could help, we would really appreciate
