PPR fax, email or mail

Hi, I received my ppr request yesterday and since I'm from the states, it says I can fax, email or mail copies of the photo page of my passport. Fax is by far the faster route, but it doesn't provide conformation. What's the best route to take and how long after the ppr request is pr issued? Thx

1. My fax shows on the reports whether a fax was received after it is sent.
2. About 4 weeks.
