I almost got a job offer from a small India based IT company for a position in Toronto. However when I told tham about PNP AINP through which I received my PR, they got alerted and want to consult attorney before offering me.
Its been a week of wait now.. is it illegal for a company to offer job to Alberta nominee who has already received his PR last year

Since you got PR through AINP, you are suppose to be in Alberta for atleast 2 years (I guess). If they (AINP/CIC) came to know that you have moved earlier, i.e. you haven't stayed in Alberta for the minimum period, your PR can be revoked. Ask an immigration lawyer and confirm this information.
