postpone CSQ interview, please help .

Hi everyone, I have been informed that our CSQ interview (my husband and me) for Quebec skilled worker application is on 21 August in Istanbul, Turkey.

However, we live in UK at the moment and applied to extend our student visa which we have no idea when we will have our passports back, therefore we are unable to attend the interview unfortunatly. On the other hand I am pregnant and my due date is December. Now we are confused to what to do as if we ask to postpone the interview and then the interview will be postponed in November or December then even if we have our passports back, due to my pregnancy I am not able to fly there and I am the main applicant.

Please advise is it wise to ask them to postpone the interview sometime after my delivery. please advise me of any suggestions or same experiences you have.

we really donot want to lose our chance for the second interview as the file will be closed if we cant make it the second time too.

I feel what you are going through, i would suggest to actually approach your doctor and have her write a letter stating that she would not advice you to travel for some reason. Tell her to find an excuse, fax it to your visa office and mail it to them also. I would also suggest to send them an email stating your whole case.

If you have your passports in your possession, try to make it for the interview. The canadian high commissions all over the world are extremely busy and if you do not attend who knows how much longer it will take for the next interview.
