Postgraduate Program Readmission Issue

Hello everyone,
I was enrolled in a postgraduate program in 2020, started online, then withdrawn from it. I have a study visa approval since 2020 and didn't expire yet. Also, I didn't travel to issue the study permit due to the ongoing pandemic. If I decided to apply for readmission for the same program at the same university, should I apply for new visa?
Also, will that impact on PR and work visa (or PGWP)?
Thanks in advance !

You need a new visa. Your visa would have been cancelled if you were not studying and is no longer valid.

Hello !
Thank you for your reply. Will that withdrawal impacts negatively on my future immigration applications such as new study permit/ work permit and PR?
Actually, I am residing outside Canada and didn't travel since the pandemic outbreak in 2020.
Best Regards,

It will not impact applying for a study permit if you show funds, ties to home country, career/education progression. No issue with PR as it is a separate program.

Best Regards,
Given the pandemic you have a pretty good reason for not traveling. If you withdrew soon after starting your program not wanting to study online given the time difference and lack of satisfaction with online vs classroom learning would very valid reasons with withdrawing.
