Hi,

My wife and I are preparing our citizenship application to be sent soon, and she would have to do the IELTS exam as proof of language. However, in the IRCC page it says that an acceptable proof of language could be:

You attended or are currently attending a secondary or post-secondary education program in English or French, either in Canada or abroad, including:
  • A degree, diploma, certificate or official transcripts from a secondary or post-secondary education program showing you studied in English or French, in Canada or abroad.
In her case, she had a postdoctoral position at McGill from 2014 to 2019. However, as postdocs are not really students enrolled in a program, I don't know if this might work. Does anybody have more information on this?

Thanks for your help.

if it does not, she should take Celpip-LS, $195+tax, (minimum CLB4)
