Hi all

Is something called Ircc number required to complete the pr process post ita? My consultant told me this.. he told me an individual can't do the pr process without the Ircc no.. does that make any sense?
Some insight please..

Do you mean UCI number?
It will be assigned to you after you submit your post ITA application.

Sorry it's not that. My consultant told me that if we process our application on our own, there are chances that the Visa officer would refuse our pr stating that it's unauthorised since it doesn't have an Ircc no/code.. is this true?
Kindly share ur experiences

Absolutely nothing like that. Most people go without a consultant. There is a place for stating representation on the Express Entry form, just make sure you mention there that you are not using any representation.

IRCC Code etc is only provided to consultants to work as authorised representatives. As an individual, you don't need it.

He is just trying to scare you so you go with his services.

If you are applying via a consultant then you authorize that particular consultant / lawyer to communicate with the immigration deptt on your behalf. The authorized consultants/laywers are given some sort of unique identification number. I believe its that what your consultant might be referring.

Frankly speaking, you didn't need to have gone to any consultant for the PR. The process is crystal clear and simple and much relaxed if you are doing it yourself. Consultants just make the things complicated with all this IRCC and other non-sense.

Your consultant is lying to you. Apply on your own and ask questions here if you are unsure of anything.

there is no such thing. By all means one can apply for PR without consultant. rather I think this is the fastest way than depending on any agent.

Hi Murthi,

Sorry to hear that you have been led down the wrong path with the consultant. Has the consultant created any profile for you online etc? The reason I'm asking is if you already have a file with CRA that was created by your consultant chances are his/her email would already be in there. Further down the road post ITA you may want to call up CRA and check this email to see if it has yours or your consultants. If it's yours then it's fine. If not change it. Just giving you a heads up for the future. Cheers

Hello members,
After receiving ITA, my friend has declared 4 months of self employment in the personal history section (not counted towards points) Should she provide proof for that in the additional documents section? Is it mandatory? She has only tax return assessment from CRA as proof for that. Thank you!

Dear friends
I am in my post ita process. I am a government school teacher. Should I say yes to the question regarding government positions in work history?
I am confused with government employer vs government position.
If I say yes to the above question will they ask for more documents such as no objection letters?

Please advice.......
