Hi Everyone -

In my documents checklist after filling out my online questionnaire post ITA, there are two categories for which I have to upload documents - Employment Records and Letter of Employment. Under Employment Records, it is listed that I've to submit a Reference Letter from the employer (stating full name, job title, salary, hours worked, roles and responsibilities etc.) along with T4 and pay stubs.

My question is - what is the difference between Reference Letter and Letter of Employment? Can I upload the same document for both categories? Aren't both the documents, the same thing? There is also a third category called 'Offer of employment' but that is basically the Job Offer Letter that I have to upload.

Please help solving this confusion. Thanks.

are you claiming 50/200 points for your Job ? if not then say No to "do you have valid job offer? " question . and that will take care of the situation.

Is it really that simple? If you didn't claim 50/200 points, you can simply choose "No", although you may have a job offer letter?

For example, in my case the progress was following:
Job offer letter -> BC PNP -> EE ITA

Therefore, it could be implied that I got EE ITA based on job offer, but actually I just claimed 600 points based on BC PNP. After all, not all provinces/territories require a job offer for nomination, so I guess the job offer does not matter if PNP points have been claimed.

I'm just worried because I feel like I'm lying in the application by answering "No" to "Does [my name] have a job offer in Canada?", because I do have a job offer (and most likely will already work in Canada by the time they start processing my application).

On the other hand, I cannot provide the Letter of Employment since I still live in Croatia and I am not yet working for my BC employer.

Please help with solving this confusion.

Thanks in advance!

The question relates to having a valid job offer - LMIA approved or a LMIA exempt work permit which is employer specific and for which you've worked a full year.

If you say "yes" to that question you'll be required an offer of employment and a letter of employment.

Thanks so much! Neither I have LMIA approved, nor I have LMIA exempt work permit, especially not with a full year of experience. So it's a "No" for me.

Please receive my upvote :)

Express Entry - Work History section

I'm filling out the Work History section to create a profile. I do not fins any link to upload Reference letters.
And after I fill the employment history, it shows Complete.

At what point , do I need to upload them, while creating profile ? or ITA stage?
