Post ITA career advice

Hi everyone,

First would like to say thank you everyone for this forum. This forum is one of the best things happen to anyone trying to immigrate to Canada.

I have received ITA in 52nd draw in NOC 2173 (Software engineer). This question may not be new but couldn't find exact solution in other posts.

Is it ok to quit my current job before /after submitting PR application? Will that impact our profile in any way? I am the primary applicant. TIA.

If this current job is in Canada, then it might affect your application if you are claiming points for it.
Else, if you have not claimed any points for it, then it will not have any impact on your existing application, if already sent. OR It will not affect if you send it now.

I am not in Canada and have not claimed any points for - canadian exp and education. If I quit before submitting PR application, then I will have to put the end date for the most recent job. As you said this will not make my application weak. Thank you!

I hope you can get the reference letter for this job with all details. Of course offer letter, work contract and salary slips will also help.
