Hi,

I have an offer from a company but they want to see my work permit which I wont get it in paper until january. However, I can start working full time since nov as I graduate in Nov and can apply for the work permit only in nov. But as the law allows you to work while you wait for your work permit I told my employer the same. But is there anything that i can provide to the employer before i get my actual work permit?

Any acknowledgement for pgwp application if you received

Yeah. But that's just a email saying you have submitted the application. It's still not a legal work permit
How do I tell the employer or show a form of temporary work permit?

I gave my employer the message I got inside my application when I submitted it. Legally that's all they need and then when you get the permit, you give them a copy of that.

Can you tell me briefly what is written in the message when you submitted your application? Cause isnt this message more like you have submitted the application but not a confirmation that you will get the work permit?

Yes it is saying you have submitted the application and gives you a date. This is all the employer needs, as the CIC states that if you have proof you have applied you can work until you get the PGWP. This is not a message saying you have been approved, just that you have implied status. Believe me, I have a job and this is all the employer needs.

Thanks a lot! unfortunately, my employer needs the work permit (looks like), I will notify them about the implied status and tell them I can provide the message proof after I apply anyways. I did send the CIC links mentioning I can work. Hope they understand the implied status condition.

Every employer is different I suppose, but the implied status came from the Government and my employer took that as legal.
