Hi Everyone

I guess im heading towards trouble. My story is i was an international student who had completed one year study and obtained 1 year open work permit. Im currently residing in Tornoto, ON working as a Customer Service representative for an organization being paid minimum wage.

I'm left with 7 months of valid work permit. Could anyone please figure out what would be the best bets options I could qualify for applying P.R.
Looking forward to hear a positive response.

Hi Sindhu1987,

I know at what stage you are in, bcz I traveled through the same stage last year.

The only way to get qualify for PR is to obtain a Positive LMIA, Extend your WP and Apply for PR. I know this sounds a bit harsh but this is the only way I see you to get qualify for PR.

I think you know regarding Express Entry Points, It is for 1200.

1. 600 points for Age, work experience, Education, language skills etc.
2. 600 points for having positive LMIA with Job offer (or) having a PNP.

Though u work as a Customer Service representative for an organization being paid minimum wage for a year (I think u r working for them since u get PGWP (5+7 = 12 months)), You will be qualified for Express entry but to obtain a PR it would be difficult, I guess, if you do not have LMIA.

Guys, If I am wrong at any point please correct me and it would be helpful for Sindhu1987.

I did get a Lmia.
