Hey there! I hope someone can help me...

I've been accepted into a post-graduate diploma at Douglas College (BC) and although the official length of the course is one year (as it's written on the program's website) i've talked to the coordinator and he approved me to take the summer off maintaining my full-time status finishing the program in 16 months instead:

- SET-DEC/15 (4 courses)
- JAN-APR/16 (4 courses)
- MAY-AUG/16 (summer off)
- SET-DEC/16 (3 courses)

My doubt is... Once i finish the program will i be granted with a 1 year PGWP or a 16 months PGWP? The point is that courses will be offered during the summer so taking this time off is a choice of mine and i am not sure if CIC will consider this period when issuing :-\ :-\ mine PGWP.

Please let me know if haven't made myself clear! :-*

Im pretty sure that CIC will give u 1 year permit, because your certificate will show 1 year, not 16 months.
