I am an international student and in order to apply for a "Post-Graduation Work Permit" you need to be holding a valid study permit & have confirmation that you successfully completed your program. I just finished my program at college, my study permit expired August 31, 2013 but my confirmation of graduation was not awarded on my transcript until September 2, 2013 (exams were in August).
Now I have to restore my Study Permit before I can apply for a "Post-Graduation Work Permit" but I have completed my program so I will not be returning to school.
Should I be concerned about not being approved for status restoration since I'm not returning to school but simply need to have a valid study permit to apply for a "Post-Graduation Work Permit"?
Logically, I don't think they will deny my restoration application but I have no idea. I guess I will just have to submit the forms and hold my breath. Anyone have experience dealing with this or thoughts on the matter? Any insight would be very much appreciated.
