POST GRADUATION WORK PERMIT VISA

Hi guys,

I have completed my two year diploma and just got a post graduation work permit for 3 years . I am wondering that if I want to go back to India for a visit, I would have to have a VISA. But the VISA on my passport expires on July 31st 2011. I got my work permit until 2014. Does anybody know how do I apply for VISA and is it a necessity for me to apply for it.
