Post-graduation work permit before with an unofficial letter

Good afternoon
I am going to defend my thesis in December and I am sure I won't be able to get the official letter from the university before the holidays. I have found a job (NOC A) and I am working 20hr/week for the time being. My employer has asked me to start working full-time from January first.
My department has issued me an unofficial letter of completion indicating that I am going to defend my thesis and I will be finished by December 30th. Can I apply for PGWP using this letter? Can I send the official letter later on?

Please let me know if you had a similar experience.

No. You should wait for official letter. You are trying to circumvent the system to work full time. You should apply with official letter, then only you are eligible to work full time.
