Hello People,

I was in Vancouver to do a Visual Effects course and after my education I applied for a PGWP and my application was rejected because my school was not under the eligible institution list.

Now I am planning to do another course in an Eligible institution for PGWP (Sheridan College), so after my education if I apply for a Post Graduate work permit, will my application be accepted and will they grant me the Post Graduate Work Permit.

Thanks

Yes - you will be granted a PGWP based on the length of your studies at Sheridan.

Oh great. So I do not have to worry about my previous application be rejected.

I was afraid they would take that in consideration to grant me the PGWP.

Can anyone please tell me what are the job prospects after studying a 1 year PG course in project management from Humber as I will be getting 1 year work permit. Is 1 year not enough to find a professional job ??(I already Have 6 years of experience in this field).

1. To be eligible for CEC you have to work 1 full year at a skilled job, unlikely with a PGWP as you would have to start day 1 at the job.
2. Your employer could apply for a LMIA as a permanent position and you then could apply for FSW 2.
3. You may be eligible for the PNP in the Province where you work
4. You maybe eligible under Express Entry
5. Just too many possibilities.

My course that I am going to do is only 8 months but the diploma certificate will say One Year Diploma program. Will I receive PGWP for 8 months or 1 year?
