I have been working (full time permanent job) under post-graduate work permit (open work permit). My work permit will be expired next month. I haven't applied for work permit extension or renewal yet. My employer already applied in June 2015 for pre-screening approval for me under PNP program but we haven't received any confirmation yet. Since pre-screening process got delayed, my employer also applied for LMIA this month (July, 2016). I have "Express Entry" profile with 422 points but didn't receive any PT notification (provincial/territorial notification).
Since I'm not certain about both pre-screening and LMIA approval and my work permit is expiring next month, I would like to know what are my options for maintaining my status and continue working in Canada?
Should I submit request for "bridging open work permit" since I'm waiting for a decision for pre-screening and LMIA requests?
Please let me know if there any other options. Thanks in advance.
