Post Graduate Work Permit Issued for 20 Months after Master Program

Hi,

I have completed my masters program in 20 months which is a 2 years program. I applied for the Post graduate work permit and they issued permit for 20 months only which is supposed to be 3 years.

Anyone have any information regarding this.

The issue visa till the expiry of passport.I suspect your passport must be expiring before 3 Yrs thefore they have issued you visa till the end of expiry of passport.Is is right?

In which University and city you are residing?

The expiry of my passport is 2019. More than 4 years. I did Masters of Engineering from Concordia University, Montreal. This is a 45 credits and 2 years Program. Some of the students completed it in 4 semesters i.e. 16 months. To some they issued permit for 3 years and to some they issued for 16 months. whoever got 16 months permit they applied again with a detailed letter and admission letter stating the length of program and later they got 3 yrs of permit. But its a fault of immigration agent not ours, why do we have to pay the fees again.

Than salman you should write them letter refering your case and ask them for issuance of three years PR as per rules.
