POST GRADUATE WORK PERMIT ENQUIRY

Hi Friends,

Can student of 1 year diploma get two years work permit if they choose to study further after finishing 1st 1 year diploma....... so in total it will be 2 years of education but 2 different diplomas...

please help

This is from CIC website:

"A work permit under the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program cannot be valid for longer than the student’s study program. For example, if you graduate from a four-year degree program, you could be eligible for a three-year work permit if you meet the criteria. If you graduate from an eight-month certificate program, you would be eligible for a work permit that is valid for no more than eight months."

So basically they are talking about a single course here. I don't think your case will qualify for a 2 years course (but I am not sure on this)
